"Although the chief features of a disease are present and similar in all persons attacked by the malady, we must confess that we are able to detect some sign or symptom, some all-pervading condition, some characteristic circumstance that gives the case its individuality, and causes it to differ, if even so slightly, from all other cases."

Henry N. Guernsey

1. Homeopathy is a Holistic Medicine

Homoeopaths recognize and treat the unique state of each individual’s vital energy, as expressed through characteristic physical, mental, and emotional symptoms. They seek to remove the cause of the trouble by stimulating and balancing the organism's natural healing process.

2. Homeopathic Intake

During a comprehensive interview, homeopaths collect all the subjective and objective information.  Then, a unique multi-dimensional picture of the person’s disharmony is constructed.  Using data from the homoeopathic provings, homeopatic practitioners systematically select the single remedy, that is most similar to the person’s overall state, and recommend that remedy in the single, smallest dose needed to achieve a curative response.  Adequate rest, appropriate diet, and exercise are also recommended to support rapid and lasting recovery.

3. The Importance of the Follow up Appointment

If the client doesn’t report soon enough, she or he might forget what happened right after the remedy was taken. A short-lived improvement may be overlooked or an important clue may be missed. In a case of no positive response after the administration of a remedy, the person may suffer needlessly waiting too long, when in fact another remedy or potency is needed.

If too much time elapses, the effects of the remedy cannot be recalled, confusion arises, and the treatment has to be started from the very beginning.

If the client reports too soon, the effects of the remedy may not have had time to develop to a perceptible level of certainty.

The changes during homeopathic treatment (sometimes very subtle since we are approaching the treatment gently) must be observed, recorded and interpreted accurately, in order to understand and follow up the case effectively.

The timing of the report is based on the type of case, the pace and severity of the disease, the potency, and the particular remedy administered.

Please, follow practitioner’s instructions about communication, and allow homeopathy to do its best work.

 4. How to take the  Homeopathic Remedy

a) Dry Dose: place the pellets of the recommended remedy under your tongue without touching them, and let them disolve. Do not place anything in your mouth 10 minutes prior, and 10 minutes after taking the remedy.

* If a person, an animal or an infant are not able to take the dry pellets, disolve them for 15 minutes in a clean glas with a 1/4 cup  of  water, preferably filtered  or distilled, and administer 1 teaspoon of this mixture into their mouth - using either a teaspoon or a medicine dropper.

! Whenever a homeopathic remedy comes in contact with kitchen utensils, please make sure you wash these with a very hot  or boiling water, before using them again. This needs to be done in order to avoid repeated medication.

b) Plussed Dose: disolve the pellets for 15 minutes in a clean glas with a 1/4 cup  of  water, preferably filtered  or distilled, and then with a teaspoon, lift the mixture, letting the liquid cascade back into the cup as if areating the mixture 10 times. Then take 1 teaspoonful.

* You can also pluss a dose of the remedy by disolving it for 15 minutes in a clean jar with a 1/4 cup of water, tightening the lid on, and pounding the jar with the mixture against the palm of your hand 10 times. Then take 1 teaspoonful.

           5. Cure and Side Effects
In order to avoid side effects, Hahnemann, worked to establish the smallest effective dose.  To his surprise, he found that using a unique method of serial dilution and succussion [agitation], the more diluted and succussed the remedy was, the more potent it became.  This concept of the infinitesimal dose being more effective than a large dose is beginning to be explained by modern science.  Due to organism's adaptability to stimuli, each subsequent potency needs to be a little stronger. (see plussing)

Taking a microdose of homoeopathically prepared remedy, kick-starts the body’s self curative  mechanism, which restores equilibrium throughout the organism. All symptoms start to gradually diminish.

The direction of cure is always from inside out, from above downward, from more vital organs to less vital organs, symptoms disappear in the reverse order of their appearance.

6. Homeopathic Remedies

According to Hahnemann’s true homoeopathic principles, remedies are never routinely repeated and never combined with other remedies. Homeopathic remedies are FDA aproved.
