Although
always attracted to natural health care, I never imagined that I would become
any sort of practitioner myself. I went
to undergraduate school at BostonUniversity, earned a degree in Fine Arts, and went
off to New York City
to live my artist life. For my day job,
I worked as a nanny, falling in love with my little charges. Somewhere
along the way I developed a mysterious illness, and while at the library
researching various natural approaches to treatment, I came across a book about
homeopathy that literally changed my life.
It was like an epiphany, and I am not prone to such things! But as I read about homeopathy, I felt like I
was coming home. I felt like the author
was saying things that I always knew to be true, but never knew how to
express. Before I even finished the
book, I had written to every homeopathy school I could find listed, knowing
without a doubt that studying homeopathy was what I wanted and was meant to
do. As
soon as I received the information sent to me from the Institute of Classical
Homoeopathy, I knew that was where I needed to
study. Knowing that you could indeed
harm as well as heal with homeopathy, I wanted to study at a serious school
where I could rely on the material being taught; the ICH fit the bill in every
way. I spent the time before the new school year started up by studying with a
homeopath in Connecticut
and reading books on my own. Then I
packed my bags and moved to California. I went through the ICH program, and now I
practice homeopathy and teach at ICH. Homeopathy
is a subject of lifelong study, and I learn new things everyday. Through my practice of homeopathy, I endeavor
to do all I can to help relieve the suffering in the world around me. |
